In Memoriam Page 14.

Spike A dog never dies, he always stays, he walks besides you on crisp autumn days when frost is on the fields and winter's drawing near, his head within our hand in his old way.

- Anonymous

My dear Spike, you have lived a wonderful life for almost 14 years. You came, saw and conquered. That is the way it will always be. Because of you the spanish Scooby girls Madonna and Tigresa became your 'greyt' friends.Dear Spike, may you rest in peace. --- Love, Erna.
A dog is like an eternal Peter Pan, a child who never grows old and who therefore is always available to love and be loved.

They say memories are golden, well maybe that is true;
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you, a million times I cried,
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to Heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
